In this beginner class, you will learn how to warp and weave on a rigid heddle loom while exploring how colors play with one another within the Fibonacci sequence. We will dress the loom and start to weave in the first class. You will take the loom home for a week and we'll meet once more to learn how to finish your project.
Cost is $165 and includes a week of loom rental. If you have your own rigid heddle loom, please bring a 7.5 or 8 dent reed along with your loom and accessories. Cost is then $150.
Materials cost will be $20+, depending on the yarn you choose. The sample shown is woven with handspun cashgora yarn, which would require two skeins at $48 each. Other yarns are available. You are also welcome to bring your own yarn - DK to sport weight in at least two colors and 200 yards each.
Please bring a lunch on Sunday, February 2nd as we'll take a 30 minute break to chow down mid-class.
