Trail Runs Merino/Yak/Silk

A friend of mine once convinced me to run a half marathon.  Yeow!  This colorway reminds me of a run we did in our neighborhood one summer evening as I was training for that grueling 13 miles.

*Please note that these are hand-dyed in small batches and colors may vary slightly from braid to braid.

A 70/15/15 blend of Merino, yak, and silk.  Merino is a fine wool, great for next-to-the skin garments. Yak down can be as fine as 13 microns! It is extraordinarily soft, very warm, with a bit of elasticity. A bit of silk adds shine and strength. Spin into a fine, warm, silky skein of fibery goodness!  Or use in a wet felting project.
