In March 2022, cannabis was now fully legal in 17 US states and the District of Columbia. In March of 2023 it is fully legal in 21 US states, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and D.C. Another 10 states have decriminalized its use. And yet there are people, disproportionately of whom are people of color, still imprisoned for cannabis related offenses.
