Late August is the time when blackberries start showing up at the farmer's markets here in Maine. The season is short so when I see a pint, I snag 'em!
*Please note that these are hand-dyed in small batches and colors may vary slightly from braid to braid.
A 50/50 blend of yak and silk.
Yak down can be as fine as 13 microns! It is extraordinarily soft, very warm, with a bit of elasticity. Silk adds shine, strength, and a little bit of length to your drafting zone when spinning. Spin into a fine, warm, silky skein of fibery goodness! An amazing choice for next to the skin garments.
