About Maggie:
For most of my life I have been a stitcher and teacher. I studied at the Opus School of Textile Arts in London, where I focused my work on Narrative Embroidery. And later, I earned a BFA in Painting, with a minor in Drawing, from Maine College of Art and Design. Narrative embroidery is, for me, the best way to combine my love of drawing and stitching. In one of my lives, I was an ASL interpreter, which has had so many subtle effects on my love of storytelling and the many ways that hands express language. I have taught narrative embroidery online, locally, and overseas. You can see my work on Instagram @maggiemuth, and my chats with other makers @grilledcheese_and_frenchfries.
