Saturday, February 14th - 1:00pm to 4:00pm
In this workshop, we will create an ornament-sized heart in white, which can be strung, embroidered, beaded and dyed. They are sturdy enough for a child (or even a pet) to play with! Students will build a wire frame shape; wrap it in wool roving, needle felt in place, and give a smooth finish with wet- felting. Finally, learn how to “quick-dye”, using Kool Aid!
All tools and materials will be provided* - including take-home instructions on to how to make multiples - AND how to enlarge or shrink this pattern. All ages welcome.
*needle-nosed piers will be helpful, please bring your own, if you can, but not essential.
Kathryn Bourque is owner/creator of Get a Grip Felting Needles and has taught needle and wet felting at the Common Ground Fair, Montessori School, Pineland Farms and Handiworks Studio.
