3.30.24 Intermediate Brioche with Bristol Ivy

After learning basic brioche, knitters are often intimidated by working it in the round or working it in two colors. In this class, we’ll learn how to take your brioche seamless, how to incorporate two colors in the round, and how to work two colors flat.

Experience needed: working brioche flat, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, working in the round. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN INTRO TO BRIOCHE WITH BRISTOL.

Homework: With smooth, non-haloed worsted weight yarn and US 7 [4.5 mm] circular needle, please cast on 24 stitches and work about an inch [2.5 cm] in k1, p1 rib, worked flat. Do not bind off. Make sure to leave at least another 70 yards [64 m] of yarn attached

On a separate 16” [40 cm] circular needle, please cast on 54 sts and work about an inch [2.5 cm] in k1, p1 rib, worked in the round. Do not bind off. Make sure to leave at least another 70 yards [64 m] of yarn attached

Materials: 50 yards [46 m] of a complimentary or contrasting color in the same weight, writing implement for taking notes

Experience needed: knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing.

Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil for taking notes.

Class Cancelation Policy:

If you cancel more than 30 days before the beginning of your class, we will offer you store credit in the amount of your class. Cancelation with less than 30 days notice will result in the forfeiture of your entire course fee. However, if we are able to fill your spot, we will offer store credit in the amount of the class.

If we cancel a class, you can choose to receive a full refund or store credit.
