For spinners who are curious about plant fibers!  We'll be exploring the properties of linen, hemp, and nettle.  Cellulose fibers have a much different feel than animal fibers and spinning them on your wheel requires some different skills.  You will also learn how to wash and prepare your freshly spun fibers for dyeing or using as is.

All fiber materials will be provided.

Materials to bring:

  • a spinning wheel with three bobbins + a lazy Kate
  • lunch (~45 minute lunch break)
