In this beginner class, you will learn how to warp and weave on a rigid heddle loom while exploring how colors play with one another within the Fibonacci sequence. Choose between weaving a scarf, runner, or pillow fabric. We will dress the loom and start to weave in the first class. You will take the loom home for a week and we'll meet once more to learn how to finish your project.
Please mark your calendar for the following dates and times:
Sunday, March 11th from 12:30pm - 4:00pm
Sunday, March 18th from 11:00am - 12:00pm
Cost is $105 and includes a week of loom rental. If you have your own rigid heddle loom, please bring a 7.5, 8, or 10 dent reed along with your loom. Cost is then $90.
Materials cost will be between $20-$96, depending on the yarn you choose. The sample shown is woven with handspun cashgora yarn, which would require two skeins at $48 each. Other yarns are available. You are also welcome to bring your own yarn - DK to worsted weight in at least two colors and 200 yards each.
