Flamingo Croquet Merino/Silk
I love the scene in Alice in Wonderland where the Queen of Hearts challenges Alice to a game of croquet and the mallets are flamingos. Alice's flamingo is particularly uncooperative.
*Please note that these are hand-dyed in small batches and colors may vary slightly from braid to braid.
A 50/50 blend of Merino and tussah silk.
Merino is a fine wool, great for next to the skin garments. Fine crimp makes for elasticity in a handspun yarn. This is a great blend for wet felting as well. Merino typically has a staple length of 2-4 inches. Silk adds shine, strength, and softness to this blend. *Information from The Fleece & Fiber Sourcebook by Deborah Robson and Carol Ekarius.
